Why choose Drive On?
Our instructors are fully qualified and have passed all three tests required to become an Approved Driving Instructor.
Our pass rate is higher than the local and national average.
We do not hold hours from block bookings back for driving tests - use the hours how you want to use them.
During your first lesson, you can look forward to driving the car - we don't stayed parked up at the side of the road unnecessarily.
We adapt our teaching methods to suit you - not everyone learns in the same way.
We believe our reviews backup the service we provide.
For learner drivers, our aim is to help you pass your driving test first time whilst ensuring that you will be a safe driver for life.
All tuition is provided on a one-to-one basis and we will never piggy back lessons.
Our lessons are normally 2 hours duration as this allows for longer time behind the wheel and learning takes place faster. This can be adapted to suit the individual should 2 hours be too long.
Driving lessons are structured to individual requirements and our instructors will ensure that the techniques used will encourage the pupil to learn and develop the skills being taught.
The services we offer for learner drivers include:
Weekly and semi-intensive courses available (subject to availability).
Advice with the theory test including theory sessions if required.
Mock tests - if you wish to take a mock test with an unfamiliar person we can arrange this with your instructor. This can sometimes help if you feel anxious about the driving test and going out with an examiner.
We do not believe that intensive courses work. Driving between 4 and 6 hours per day aiming to pass a driving test within a week does not, in our opinion, give you the time to learn the required skills to become a safe driver.
However, we will work with customers who have a requirement to pass the test in a relatively short timeframe. This may be two hours of lessons per day over 2 to 4 weeks which gives you time to learn the skills and reflect on the lessons before moving onto a new subject/skill. We would usually be able to advise early on as to how many hours we believe you will need to be ready to be taking the practical driving test - this does vary for each individual but can still be accommodated with regular lessons on a semi-intensive basis.
Semi-intensive courses are subject to our availability and there may be a waiting list for these courses. We can advise you on an approximate start date when you contact us. These courses are only suitable if you have Monday-Friday daytime availability - we do not take on semi-intensive courses for evening or weekend lesson times.
